HOW TO MAKE AN iCON

-Open up Paint Program that comes up with every paint program -find picture you want. -then click the square dotted [top right] -use that to make a 100x100 box around the area you want to show up in YOUR icon. --to make picture smaller press CTRL+W TiPS----------- if you make it 200x200 then you can press CTRL+W & make the #50's 50 & 50 that will automatically make it 100x100

HOW TO GET A BACKGROUND SONG ON YOUR XANGA

-Go To Xanga.com the click users [@top in red] -search for music sites! i recomment MUSIC_GALORE -then press ctrl+f to search for the singer/artist your looking for -then you click the artist/singers name. -another window will pop up -they will have lists of albums & songs choose the song you want -right click ~PLAY then go to PROPERTiES -THEN LOOK FOR ADDRESS & COPY & PASTE THAT INTO YOUR LOOK&FEEL -YOU WiLL FiND THE MUSiC SECTION AFTER YOUR EDiTiNG OF LAYOUT--after background, text & links, left module, interior THEN THERE WiLL BE A BOLD BLACK TiTLE SAYING MUSIC! TIPS-THERE ARE NONE. ITS VERY SiMPLE TO DO THiS!

HOW TO FiLL iN THE CUSTOM MODULE LAYOUT

- You will need to go to your Look&Feel page. And scroll down to where you should have pasted your code (Header- Input Your Custom Header) Now hit CTRL+F and a box called "Find" will pop up. Type It's All . Then hit Find Next... If it says "Finished Searching The Document" without automatically scrolling down to where you should be editing your code then close the "Find" box & open it again & try one more time. It should then scroll down in the code box to your first custom module. -Custom Module #1... It`z All About Me. Scroll down a little bit to where you see <img src="YOUR OWN IMAGE URL HERE"> . Here you can put your own personal image of you. Or any image you want. You`ll need to upload it at a Image Uploading Site such as Imageshack.ws & Then paste the code where it says "YOUR OWN IMAGE URL HERE" . If your image is big you will need to also type this <Img Src="YOUR OWN IMAGE URL HERE" height=200 width=155>. If you didnt catch that. I am telling you that you need to type the height & width thing EXACTLY like that. But you can customize the numbers if you need to such as 155 & 200. But do not make the width any larger than 155 bcuz it will throw off your whole layout setup. Next you need to customize the writing in your first box. If you scroll down a little you will see "You'll be screaming YOUR NAME HERE" Type your name there. Common Sense.. And do the same following the rest of the directions such as "YOUR TOWN HERE". You can also delete all of that & type your own stuff about you or just add more. Such as "Dropping Jaws Since YOUR BIRTHDAY HERE" or "Learning my ABC's at YOUR SCHOOL HERE". You can also add your screen name or other websites to your box. -Custom Module #3. (You can not customize Custom Module #2 bcuz that is all your links to your website.) "My Friends Xanga`z" To find this in the code do the same thing as you did before by hitting CTRL+F and typing "friends" Now you are at your module. You will see this <a href="YOUR FRIENDS URL"> YOUR FRIENDS NAME</a><br> Do exactly what is says. Type your friends xanga URL (examp: http://www.xanga.com/its_y0ur_l0ve_x3 ) And then type their name next to it where it says YOUR FRIENDS NAME. Do this for each of your friends or if you dont care about listing your friends xangas just delete that whole custom module box. See the bottom of this box about deleting a custom module box. [thats only if it gives you that option!!!] -Custom Module #4. "You Can Add Your Own Little Thing Here =)" This is exactly what it says... your own little box. Change the title of the name just how you think you would. Hit CTRL+F and type "You Can Add Your" . It will bring you to the title of the box. Delete the title & type your own title.... Now some ideas for the custom module which will currently say "Put it in here... & Have fun with it!" IDEAS; + A image marquee of all your friends or of just you CODE HERE + A box dedicated to a friend or boy/girl friend. + You can insert your playlist here. (For more help with this leave me a comment) + You can type links to your favorite websites + You can type your favorite quote here ------------------- Some Basics In Your Custom Modules - When you type <br> It is the same as a space when you hit enter on your keyboard. But hitting enter will not do anything in your codes. You must type <br> - To put in a link type this <a href="THE LINK URL HERE>WHAT YOU WANT THE LINK TO SAY</a> - To put in images you must type <img src="IMAGE URL HERE"> - To bold anything type <strong>THE TEXT YOU WANT BOLDED HERE</strong> - To italize text type <i>THE TEXT YOU WANT ITALIZED HERE</i> - To underline text type <u>THE TEXT YOU WANT UNDERLINED HERE</u> - To strike out text type <s>THE TEXT YOU WANT STRIKED OUT HERE</s> Deleting just one of the boxes you no longer want. Start off with the begining of that custom module. The begining of each module starts with <table border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4" width="100%" class="module"><tr><th valign="top" align="left" class="module"><font face=arial>-- <strong>»</strong> my <strong>friends</strong> xanga`z </a></th></tr><tr><td valign="top" class="module"> Except each one will have the correct name such as "It's All About Me" or "You Can Add Your Own Little Thing Here" and they all have the sam ending- </td></tr></table><br>. -Look @ the document & if you keep scrolling you should find abunch of words & stuff, including [this is what most ppl fill it in with!] blah, favorites, idols ect. -that means you've found the box to put in YOUR information =] -now there are two ICONS to change those icons you can host them through tinypic.com. then you copy & paste the link & replace it with the given one. -now make sure to space it out between the icons so it will look good!!! ------------------- Some Basics In Your TOP BOX - When you type <br> It is the same as a space when you hit enter on your keyboard. MAKiNG A LiNK BUTTON

-Go Into Paint & make a box any size you wish! -then design things in it, you can put stuff like little hearts, to insert text press the A & then make a box, usually the size of your link button! -then save it. -send image through tinypic.com -then you should use the code below, & change the username to yours, then you put the URL in where the it says URL & your done!!!

GET A SCROLL BAR IN YOUR ENTRY!!!

go to YOUR xanga press, EDIT HTML then it wil come up with lots of stuff that looks like gibberish, but its not, trust me!!! -put this code @ the beginning of the area of what you want included <div id=scroll3 style="OVERFLOW: auto; WIDTH: 300px; Height: 200px"> then write your text && AT THE END OF WHAT YOU WANT TO BE INCLUDED, then you put this!!!! </div> then you can press EDIT HTML agin & the scroll bar should be there!! you can edit the size of your box by changing the width & height!
